Indiana drivers ed guide
Indiana leaves driver education up to families, but the course decides timing: finish 30 classroom or online hours and 6 driving hours with a BMV licensed school and your teen can be licensed at 16; skip it and the wait runs to 16 years and 270 days. Adults need no course at all. Drivers with tickets can earn a 4 point credit once every three years through a BMV approved Driver Safety Program of 4 hours or more, and the BMV can require that course after repeated convictions.
