Colorado drivers ed guide
In Colorado, whether a teen needs a course depends on age at the permit application. Under 15 and a half it is a 30 hour course; between 15 and a half and 16, either that course or a 4 hour driver awareness program; at 16 or older, nothing. HB24-1021 changes that on January 1, 2027, when every applicant aged 15 to 17 will need the 30 hour course. No statewide traffic school wipes out a ticket, though early payment, local plea deals and a new points waiver law can hold points down.
