Nebraska drivers ed guide
A Nebraska teen reaches the Provisional Operator's Permit at 16 by one of two roads: a DMV approved driver safety course, which takes the place of the DMV's written and driving tests, or 50 supervised hours (10 after dark) signed off by an adult. Adults never need a course. After a ticket, many county attorneys offer the four hour STOP class, which ends the case with no fine, no court date and no points, and any driver below 12 points may take a four hour driver improvement course for a two point credit once in five years.
