Iowa drivers ed guide
Iowa makes driver education mandatory for anyone under 18 who wants an intermediate license, and families can choose a school course, a DOT licensed driving school, or an approved course taught by a qualifying parent. Adults 18 and older can skip the course. Iowa keeps no points and offers no class that dismisses a ticket; after repeated violations the DOT may instead let a driver complete a driver improvement program in place of a suspension.
