Minnesota drivers ed guide
Minnesota drivers who start before 18 must finish 30 classroom hours and 6 behind-the-wheel hours, then keep an instruction permit for six months before a provisional license at 16. Adults skip the course but wait on a permit: 180 days at 18, 90 days from 19. No statewide class dismisses a Minnesota ticket; the course most drivers hear about is the 55 plus accident prevention class, which by statute earns a premium cut of at least 10%.
