Delaware drivers ed guide
Every Delaware driver under 18 has to complete a driver education course approved by the Department of Education before the DMV will issue a Level One Learner's Permit: 30 hours in a classroom, 7 at the wheel and 7 watching from the car. Beginners aged 18 or more skip the course entirely. Delaware will not dismiss a ticket because you took a class, but finishing a DMV-approved defensive driving course gives you a 3 point credit against future DMV penalties and an insurance discount of up to 10 percent for three years.
