Alabama drivers ed guide
Alabama families choose between a State Department of Education approved driver education course and 50 certified practice hours before a teen moves past the Stage I learner license; one of the two is required. Adults 18 and older need no course at all. For tickets, there is no statewide traffic school right, but many Alabama courts dismiss an eligible ticket once the driver completes an approved defensive driving class.
