Maine drivers ed guide
In Maine the order matters: a teen under 18 finishes a 30 hour classroom, 10 hour driving course first, and only then applies for a learner's permit. Anyone under 21 logs 70 supervised hours before the road test, while adults 18 and up skip the course entirely. After a ticket, an approved driver improvement course earns a 3-point credit no more than once a year, and drivers 55 and over who take an approved course are owed an insurance discount.
